Flashcard Formatting

LearnKit flashcard content supports standard Markdown formatting, inline code, links, images, and math.

This page is about presentation inside flashcards. For field structure and raw syntax, start with Creating Flashcards.

You can use:

  • standard Markdown
  • inline code
  • links
  • images
  • math
  • multiline display math with $$ ... $$ whether delimiters are on their own lines or on the same lines as content (LearnKit normalizes it before rendering)
  • cloze tokens inside fenced code blocks (...) are not currently supported
  • if you need cloze + code together today, prefer inline code formatting in the cloze text
  • keep prompts short and focused
  • keep answers structured and easy to scan
  • use formatting to improve recall, not to decorate the flashcard
  • avoid turning one flashcard into a whole note
