Tests
Tests helps you generate structured question rounds from your notes and card content.
Use it when you want active recall in a more exam-like format than standard flashcard review.
Typical Workflow
Section titled “Typical Workflow”- choose a scope such as a note, folder, or wider deck context
- generate a test set
- answer the questions
- review weak areas
- turn repeated weak spots into better notes or better cards
Edit Saved Tests
Section titled “Edit Saved Tests”Open Saved tests, then choose Edit beside a test. You can rename it, inspect or edit its questions and answers, add or remove questions, and edit explanations and source note paths.
For multiple-choice questions, check each correct option; checking more than one creates a multiple-answer question. For short-answer questions, enter one marking-guide point per line. Save changes validates the draft and updates the saved test; Cancel discards the draft. Previous attempt answers and results are retained. Editing is unavailable while a test is being generated, taken or graded.
When Tests Are Most Useful
Section titled “When Tests Are Most Useful”Tests works well for:
- consolidation after flashcard review
- checking topic readiness before an exam
- finding weak areas that are easy to miss in normal review
Review Answers
Section titled “Review Answers”After submitting a test, each result shows the question, your answer, the correct answer or marking guide, and any explanation. Multiple-choice results identify correct selections, incorrect selections, and correct options you missed. Unanswered questions show a blank answer. Short-answer results also include the available grading feedback and missed or incorrect key points.
Use Review mistakes to focus on questions below full marks, or Review all answers to revisit the complete test. Answer comparisons and explanations are stored with the attempt.
Good Practice
Section titled “Good Practice”- keep tests topic-specific when possible
- use Coach if you want tests tied to a study plan
- pair tests with Analytics if you want to track trends over time
