Burying Flashcards

Purpose
Section titled “Purpose”Burying removes a flashcard from the current session and brings it back after 24 hours. It does not reset or change scheduling values (interval, stability, difficulty).
Bury Steps
Section titled “Bury Steps”During review:
- press
B, or - open the More menu and choose Bury.
If you skip the same flashcard three times in one session, LearnKit offers a Bury for today? prompt.
Return Rule
Section titled “Return Rule”Buried flashcards return to the review queue 24 hours after they were buried.
Manual Bury Versus Sibling Bury
Section titled “Manual Bury Versus Sibling Bury”This page describes the manual Bury action during review.
- Manual Bury hides the current flashcard for 24 hours.
- Sibling card management: Bury is different. It keeps one new sibling active at a time and unlocks the next sibling once the current one is no longer new.
Find Buried
Section titled “Find Buried”Open Flashcard Library and filter Stage = Buried.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”- Burying is temporary (24 hours).
- Burying does not delete flashcards.
- For long-term removal from review, use Suspending Flashcards.
